To understand your hormonal health, certain tests are essential. Here’s women’s most important tests:

Thyroid Panel: TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) Free T4 and Free T3 Reverse T3 If abnormalities are detected, further tests can help identify the root cause. This might involve checking for autoimmune conditions or nutrient deficiencie

Anti-TPO (Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies) Anti-TG (Thyroglobulin Antibodies): For a comprehensive thyroid assessment, a neck ultrasound is recommended. This can detect inflammation, nodules, cysts, or other structural changes in the thyroid.

Cycle Hormone Testing: Mapping your menstrual cycle hormones requires two blood tests:

Day 3-5 of your cycle(early follicular phase):
FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone): Stimulates egg production.
LH (Luteinizing Hormone): Triggers ovulation.
Prolactin: High levels outside of pregnancy may indicate pituitary issues.
Estradiol: A key female hormone, typically higher in the first phase.
Day 18-21 of your cycle(luteal phase)
FSH and LH levels rechecked.
Progesterone: Peaks in this phase; low levels may indicate hormone imbalance.

For PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) symptoms (e.g., facial hair growth, irregular periods, binge eating), check androgen levels

Total and Free Testosterone SHBG (Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin) DHEA-S (Dehydroepiandrosterone Sulfate)
